  1.   Tclm is an extended version of John Ousterhout's tcl (Tool Command
  2. Language) package.  The extensions are designed to allow easy
  3. manipulation of Standard MIDI Files.  The combination of the easy
  4. to use tcl interpreted language and the MIDI extensions makes it
  5. very simple to write you own MIDI applications.
  6.   If you've played with tclm-0.1, you'll find 1.0 a lot different.
  7. I think it is much easier to use and a lot more powerful, but then
  8. my opinion might be a bit biased.
  9.   Included with tclm are a few scripts that use tclm.  These include
  10. scripts to play and record record MIDI files as well as a simple
  11. text based sequencer.  There is also a pair of scripts that convert
  12. a MIDI file into human readable form and back again.
